Sorry for the short hiatus on releasing this comic, lotsa life stuff kinda got in the way. But anywho, this came up with a discussion on the thought that when it comes to buying games there is an awkward trend among quite a few of us. There are those who buy a game because they know they want to play it and out of fear that it might be tough to find said game will purchase and add it to the already large stack of "games to play on a rainy day". Then there are those who play through games as quickly as possible in the hopes that they'll get a high trade in value for the next game they want to buy. Though I suppose when you look at it, either way is a legitimate strategy?

I'm in your boat, I buy games to have fun, not rush through them like a job.

Trade? What is this 'trade' you speak of? My games are mine. My older games, even though I dont play most of them anymore, are priceless, simply because of how hard I had to work to either earn the money for them or to convince my parents to get it for me. It either took some extreme cleaning (seriously, if i wanted something, my parents got supermegadelux anal over my chores), or some very smooth talking (which, lets face it, 10 year olds and around that age arent known for smooth talking).

*happy sigh* I love this thing called 'adulthood'. No longer must I rely on the parentals to get what I want. *pulls a Scrooge McDuck (Ducktales) and swims through a giant pile of money in a fancy shmancy vault* man I wish I had that kinda money XD

I only trade game that I hate or have beaten half to death. So I take my time, heck I still play the first kingdom hearts, and it was my first PS2 game

That's typically what we do too, games are pricey and the return value isn't usually worth what I feel is fair on a a trade in by the time either of us are finished with a game, so we end up keeping them. We're both also more of a collector, so I'm sure that's part of it too. Though I have a few friends who buy games that they know they'll only play through once so they try to get the highest trade value on them that way XD but hey, to each their own right?
