Yeah, the CD-i Zelda games were technically not Nintendo games, but they were officially licensed, and they were even looked over by officials from Nintendo. So it begs the question, how did these things get onto market? And yes, it's understandable that these... "games" not be included in the Zelda art book, but when you think about it, they should technically be there. If they were officially licensed and approved by Nintendo, then they're official parts of Zelda history, even if they're a darker part of the history. And the whole point of cataloging history is so that we never forget, in hope that we don't repeat past failures, right?

They were actually licensed by Nintendo but they were made by Phillips for the CDI

Licensed, not made, though Capcom made a few of the zeldas as well

It's an art book. Nintendo employees didn't provide the art, Phillips ones did. That's my theory.
