I've always seen Tails as the one who fixes everything, the one who cleans up all the messes. Who saves Sonic from all those pitfalls only to be crushed by an ever "quickly moving left" screen of death? Who holds down those buttons and levers so Sonic can safely get across deadly traps of doom only to have those traps spring on him as soon as he tries to cross? Who mops up the.... well, yeah. So it was Sonic's 21st anniversary this past weekend, and just as we celebrate his 21st, maybe we should also take a moment to recall why he has survived to see it, and give Tails a pat on the back and a good old high five, or something.

Yeah, Tails was awesome, then they next gened him into a useless character, except in Sonic Chronicles

It does seem that in the later games Tails really got shafted, kinda sad 'cause he's such an awesome character, but c'est la vie
