Recently read that 343 Studios is following the trend Bungie started with not showing the Master Chief's face, which personally I feel is a good thing. Not so much because I think it might be goofy looking, but more along the lines that the Master Chief already has such a mysterious epic nature built around him. Sorta the same idea of Link having a voice. By now it would just sound goofy and take away from the strong, stoic character that he shows. That and the book description always conjured up a such a goofy image that I always just preferred the gleam of a golden visor.
